In August, SALIN visited the South Australian School for Vision Impaired (SASVI) to tour their Resource Centre. Lauren Fountain, the Resource Centre Manager gave an excellent tour of this unique library.
Craft can be an expression of creativity, a means to make beautiful and practical objects, or a enjoyable pastime. But did you realise it can also be a useful work skill?
SALIN is hosting a relaxed evening of making and sharing for librarians of all kinds.
Thanks to all our attendees. Your generosity has provided a $750 donation to Vision Australia, assisting their work for blind and vision impaired people.
Thanks also go to our prize sponsors: ALIA, ALS Library Services, Beerenberg, B.-d. Farm Paris Creek, Dymocks, Emerald, Flowers Everywhere, Imprints, Maggie Beer, O’Connell’s Bookshop, and Recollect.
On 26th April, the Adelaide City Library kindly welcomed a group of curious SALIN members to learn about the Library’s use of virtual reality technology.
