Quiztacular

Thanks to everyone who made our Totally Rad! 1990s Quiz such a great event. On a stormy Friday night, we had 100 people fill the Walkerville Town Hall, and because of their generosity we will be donating $700 to the Welcome Centre.

Congratulations to all of our prize winners:

  • Best dressed table: Smells like quiz spirit
  • Best dressed individual: Hannah Foster as Hermione Granger
  • 3rd place (by the narrowest of margins!): Taking care of business
  • 2nd place: Table 5
  • 1st place: Smells like quiz spirit

Their fabulous prizes were provided by our sponsors: Dymocks, Wakefield Press, Emerald, B.-d. Farm Paris Creek, Howard Vineyard, #Meow Cat Cafe, Monastery Coffee, and Flowers Everywhere.

Totally Rad! ’90s Quiz

We’ve travelled throughout history together — getting physical in the ’80s, then down and dirty in the ’30s — but now you’d better dig out your day-glo, ’cause this year is going to be totally rad!

SALIN and ALIA SA invite you once again to our annual South Australian library community quiz night, to be held on Friday 18th May in the Walkerville Town Hall (66 Walkerville Tce, Gilberton). Doors will open from 6:30pm for a 7pm start.

2016 Quiz Night: Let’s Get Digital!

SALIN would like to invite you to the annual South Australian library Quiz Night, supported by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).

This long-running institution returns in 2016 with the theme Let’s Get Digital, celebrating the revolution in information technology that took place in the 1980s.

Date: Friday June 17th
Time: 6:30pm for a 7pm start
Place: Goodwood Community Centre (32/34 Rosa St, Goodwood)

RSVP: Tuesday June 14th by using the form below

Entry is $15 per person, to be paid on the night. Whole tables (8 people) can be purchased in advance for $100, to be paid by funds transfer.

Come as a team with your friends and colleagues, or if you haven’t organised a table let us know when you book and we can find a place for you.

Proceeds will be donated to Can:Do 4Kids, a South Australian charity supporting children who are vision- or hearing-impaired, helping them access digital information of all kinds.

There will be prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed table, as well as prizes for best dressed table and individual.

Coffee, soup, cakes and snacks will be available to purchase, thanks to Bean Revolution and the CWA. Or BYO food and beverages to get the party going!
