Launching your library career

Are you trying to get started in the library and information world? Are you a student or recent graduate wanting to make contacts, volunteer and land yourself in employment?

If you have questions, SALIN has the answers. At our upcoming interactive panel session, three professionals with vast experience in hiring library workers will share their tips for resume writing, job interviews and making yourself attractive to employers:
Belinda Van Drine – Business Development Coordinator, Adelaide City Libraries
Benjamin Wheal – Team Leader, Collections & Access, City of Tea Tree Gully Library
Mel Montgomery – Library/IT Business Manager, University of South Australia

Time: 5:45pm for a 6pm start (session will run for 90 minutes)

Place: Ira Raymond Room, University of Adelaide (directly opposite the main bridge entrance to the Barr Smith Library)

Cost: $5 (free for ALIA members)
